Our client, the National Council of Churches, NCC, called on us at Know Your Cross, Marketing and IT as they were preparing to launch the NRSV Updated Edition. Through our research, we could see that it was the perfect time to engage with its primary audiences in a new way. We saw an opportunity to let the broad, Scripture engaged community know that NCC has produced a more accurate Bible translation that is both steeped in tradition, and sensitive and relevant to the challenges of life today. What we produced for NCC was a Marketing Plan that would touch the Bible reading audience in a way that would redefine their understanding of accuracy and engender them to the NRSVue. We produced a Marketing Plan Strategy that would be a comprehensive, multichannel, coordinated effort to communicate the importance and value of true Bible accuracy. It would use the latest, cutting-edge marketing technologies and methods to target users at the right time, in the right place, with the right information, using tools that they would notice and respond to.
